A Community Organized Event - Presented by Gurukul Canada Foundation

Gurukul is honored to host Pandit Harvinder Sharma, the eminent disciple of Ustad Vilayat Khan, the legendary creator of the modern sitar sound. He will be joined by his disciple Sharanjeet Singh for an evening that highlights continuity, creativity, and the living legacy of this timeless art.

The program will feature a rare sitar-surbahar dialogue, seldom heard on the modern stage. Followed by a sitar duet with table accompaniment by Amarjeet Singh and a special presentation by the students of Gurukul-an extraordinary ensemble.

This concert brings together three generations of artistry evolving grandeur of the Sitar and Surbahar.
