Set in two adjoining bedrooms on a modern Canadian farm, the play tackles sex, love, science, family, and the artificial insemination of turkeys. The Birds and the Bees is an absolutely delightful crowd-pleasing show! AUDIENCE ADVISORY: The Birds and the Bees contains partial nudity and depictions of sexuality.

"The Birds and the Bees had the Arts Club audience screaming with laughter and applauding enthusiastically on opening night."
—Vancouver Sun

BENEATH SPRINGHILL: THE MAURICE RUDDICK STORY
A powerful story of a Canadian hero, told through song like never before.
By Beau Dixon
Music and lyrics by Rob Fortin and Susan Newman
Originally directed and developed by Linda Kash
January 10–20, 2024
This is the incredible story of Maurice Ruddick, “the singing miner,” an African Canadian who survived nine days underground during the historic Springhill mining disaster of 1958. This multi-award-winning one-man show recalls the events during the disaster, the effect it had on the rural Canadian community, and the racial tension that grew from it. The play is a celebration of hope, courage, and community.

“A celebration of the human spirit…”
—Calgary Sun

Approximately 80 minutes no intermission.

MADE IN ITALY
A hilarious, coming-of-age musical
By Farren Timoteo
February 28–Mar 9, 2024
Salvatore Mantini, is an Italian immigrant from Abruzzo, whose story unfolds in his traditional dining room in Jasper, Alberta. Made in Italy is also the story of Francesco Mantini, his teenage son, struggling in the 1970s to find his place in small-town Alberta. Weaving the electrifying music of the era with classic Italian tunes, this five-time Jessie Award–nominated show is a hilarious coming-of-age story about a kid with the heart of Rocky Balboa and the moves—and hair—of John Travolta.

"It's Rocky meets Saturday Night Fever"
—Edmonton Journal

Approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes including intermission.

All shows include strong language and mature themes. Theatrical devices such as water-based stage fog, and strobe lighting may occur. Programming, casting, dates, and prices are subject to change. Prices include taxes and facility fees.
