A Dance West Network and Surrey Civic Theatres Presentation

Join us for the culminating residency showings from the 5th annual Re-Centering / Margins 2024 Dance Residency inaugural branch in Surrey with three selected dance artists sharing work developed during the residency: Isabella, Punit Singh, Tegvaran Sooch. This showcase will be followed with a facilitated conversation with the artists. Registration is free. Donations are appreciated—choose your own donation if you are able to contribute.
Re-Centering / Margins @ Surrey increases opportunities and professional development for Surrey-based, IBPOC (Indigenous, Black, People of Colour) emerging dance artists to create contemporary works with mentoring support to more fully realize their artistic visions. The artists were supported by mentors of their choosing: Ana Sosa, Eric Cheung, Alexandra "Spicey" Landé, Arash Khakpour.

This residency is funded by Canadian Heritage and is also funded in part with the support of a City of Surrey Cultural Grant. This Surrey residency is also supported by The Black Arts Centre.
