Together We Heal: Honouring Our Community Champions On April 26, 2025, the Lapu Lapu Block Party tragedy left an indelible mark on our community. Amidst the heartbreak, remarkable individuals and organizations emerged, embodying resilience, compassion, and unity. United Filipino-Canadian Association of BC (UFC ABC): Champions of unity and immediate community support through fundraising and emotional outreach. Eagles Hinirang Club: First responders whose bravery and swift actions provided life-saving assistance. Jason Pires, Global BC Anchor: A voice for the voiceless, delivering heartfelt, authentic coverage that highlighted the community's pain and resilience.
