A Calling Competition Category: Short Films A small town man tries to catch himself in the act of a heinous crime that an anonymous caller manipulated him into committing. Burning Burning is an attempt to look at how society, patriarchal systems and religion force women into functions and roles that can prove cruel and uncharitable and how, despite all such exploitation, these women try to build bonds and emotions that empower themselves in ways their oppressors can never imagine. Suppressed and tortured, women build their own skies, oceans, and landscapes - creating a world of their own.
